One Bowl Restaurant & Bar

Located just behind the lobby of The Sultan, step into the bright and beautiful One Bowl Restaurant & Bar. Enjoy all-day dining in the elegantly decorated space and savour the goodness of Singaporean home cooking by Head Chef Tammie Loke who brings with her decades of experience in entertaining the most discerning guests.

It's rare to find a Restaurant & Bar in a hotel in Singapore with such good standard of Singaporean Style Char Siew at such cheap price. To be exactly i think the price of this Restaurant & Bar is counted to be relatively cheap.

Mocktail Day, decided to try out their different flavor of mocktails while waiting for our food. My favorite is the Berry Bloom, it taste and smell the best out of the 3.

Signature Char Siew in Fried or Steam Mantou
By just looking at this photo, i am already drooling. Gosh i miss this. Their Mantou stuff with Char Siew and Cucumber was my favorite dish, you can try it in either Friend or Steam Version. Personally i prefer the Fried Mantou more. HAHA, but i mean if you don't really like fried food, you can always go for the Steam one. [$4 for two mantou or $10 for six] I guess you know how to do your math.

Spring Roll (Vegetarian)
Their spring roll is really crunchy and juicy. It's often not my favorite dish to eat locally, but this i love the filling in it. I think is good. Quoted by my bestfriend:"The spring roll was good actually, it wasn't too salty but yet flavorful. It remained crispy even though it was cold already (cause we spent some time taking photo of the food). Together with the chili, it neutralizes the sweetness and saltiness of this dish."

Signature Char Siew Noodles/Rice
So the highlight of this meal was totally Char Siew, i think we only had 2 dish that didn't have it, That show's how much we actually love eating the Char Siew. It's tender and it just melt when you eat it. PLUS IT IS NOT AS OILY AS YOU THINK IT IS. Is a total MUST TRY thing when you are there. Personally i find that both have it's own unique taste to it, so i can't tell which is really better. BOTH ARE MY FAVOURITE.

Claypot rice
Special Claypot Chicken Rice with salted fish, chicken and sausages. The Cantonese call this “Yau Mei Fan” which means flavourful rice and indeed it’s very fragrance and tasty. The rice was well seasoned with black soy sauce and well cooked. The portion of Chinese sausages were generous. Only thing is that there is no charred rice at the bottom of the claypot since it's call claypot rice, says Sam.

I would say the ambience is pretty decent for both private lunches and also larger gatherings too, but i would recommend to make a reservation first before heading down to check if there is availability. I will definitely be back for more Char Siew, cause i am already craving for it. Also follow their facebook to find out more informations and updates.
