#Travelwithme: Yehliu Geopark

Yehliu, with its unique shape resembling a giant turtle, is a captivating cape that stretches for about 1,700 meters into the sea. The cape, formed by the majestic Datun Mountain, offers a breathtaking view when observed from above. Its rock formations, composed of sandstone with a limestone texture, have been shaped by the forces of nature such as sea erosion, weathering, and earth movements. As a result, Yehliu boasts an extraordinary landscape with mesmerizing features like sea trenches, candle-shaped rocks, and pot-shaped rocks. Divided into three sections, each section of Yehliu offers its own distinct attractions, from the iconic Queen's Head and Fairy's Shoe in the first section to the intriguing Bean Curd and Dragon Head rocks in the second section. The third section is home to remarkable sights such as sea-eroded caves and a rock resembling a seal. With its geological wonders and rich history, Yehliu is not only a popular tourist destination but also a suitable site for geological study and field research. Additionally, visitors can find a statue honoring Lin Tien Jane, a brave individual who sacrificed their own life to save others. The monument beautifully depicts this touching story, serving as a reminder of courage and selflessness.

Here are the direction to get you to Yehliu by public transport:
Take THSR (or TRA) to Taipei Station, transfer Taipei MRT to Tamsui Station and transfer Crown Northern Coast Shuttle Bus 716 (Some buses are low-floor) to Yehliu Geopark (Yehliu Ocean World) stop.
