#Travelwithme: Taiwan

Another awaited break from work before my school actually starts! It was my first time taking Jet Star, i can't tell you how excited i was right back then. Okay, let's skip the part where it's gonna get boring if i start talking what's in the flight. Overall, It was an awesome adventure nonetheless so do read on to find out the food and places we conquered during our trip to Taiwan.

Thankyou to YOURWIFI for the portable wifi so i can stay connected 24/7, and save my time from the long queue at the airport to get the sim card! Do check them out if you are interested. (Just hover your mouse over to "yourwifi" and click)

Speaking of Taiwan, as many of you should have already know it's famous for the heavenly good food and I shall agree–with all my heart and soul–that the Taiwanese food certainly lives up to its reputation. For those of you visiting Taiwan, you can take 1819 from the airport which will bring you to 台北車站.

Around 西門 District:
Alice Is Coming Theme Café
If you are interested to go, you might be lucky when you visit you get a seat, if not you might need to go earlier to book your reservation for whichever timing you prefer. Suggest probably during the dinner time so that café would be empty and easier for photo.
Address: 忠孝東路四段248號3號1樓

Around 十分:
I think most of your should have know about 十分 as it is a famous tourist attraction. But for those of you that don't know, 十分 basically is Highly recommend you guys as i think it's worth the go for the experience.

Around 淡水:
淡水漁人碼頭
It's one of the most famous locations in Taiwan, Which is also known as Lover's Bridge is well known for its beautiful sunsets, seafood, and, more recently with young people, its high amount of party boats.
Address:

彩色漫畫
I had a painting drawn here for about NTD 800 with the frame. I think for those who likes to keep a portrait of yourself and your family, i guess is pretty worth the money. What's more with their friendly service, they even brought the drawing to where our apartment is, instead of having us waiting there.

Around 大安:
Rilakkuma Themed Café
I am not sure if you can walk in to eat at this cafe, but we pre-booked it online earlier as we were afraid they don't take walk in. The cafe was pretty crowded when we went even though the lunch break was already over. My suggestion to those of you who are interested will be to pre-book it online just in case they don't accept walk in and also when you enter, order your food first so that during your waiting time, you can go around the cafe and take pictures.
Address: 延平南路111號2樓

Gudetama Themed Café
This little Egg Yolk Theme Café has been a hyped for sometime in Taiwan. When you enter into the café, everything you see will be Gudetama and by that i mean the wallpaper, the ceiling lamps, furniture, plates and waitresses’ uniforms, everything. The food was fairly decent and for those that really love it should definitely visit this café. Oh, and reservation is required too.
Address: 大安區敦化南路一段236巷12號

One Piece Themed Café
It's required for you to pre-book the cafe in advance as it's one of the popular Themed Cafe in Taiwan. Do note that you will be ask for a NTD 1000 as a deposit fee while booking online. If you are intending to visit, do try out their 火拳安格斯牛排義大利麵. It's dam freaking cool i swear.
Address: 台北市敦化南路一段169巷8號2樓

Around 中山:
Kuma Themed Café
I wouldn't really recommend this for now as their menu don't really have much option to pick, but if you happen to be around that area, you can drop by and visit for cute pictures. Overall, is just a once time experience.
Address: 中山區南京東路一段42號2樓

馬辣頂級麻辣鴛鴦火鍋
It's the first time i'm having steamboat when i'm in Taiwan and i would say i'm in love with it. The food were of quality and it's super fresh especially the prawn. What's more their brand of Ice Cream are like Haagen-Dazs or Movenpick ice-cream, which i think for the price of close to TWD 700 you can't get it in Singapore definitely.
Address: 台北市松山區南京東路三段285號2樓

Around 夜市:
火焰骰子牛
A popular stall that most of us will queue for when we visit Taiwan. I had this almost close to everyday of my trip, and still have dreams about it. My favorite seasoning is still the Ground pepper seasoning, the taste of the beef just melt in your mouth and when you chew the juice just linger over your throat. #thismakesmedroolevenbyjustdescribing

快樂地瓜
It's also known as Happy Sweet Potato. This is one of the must try dish when you visit the night market. I would say it's a perfect snack to munch on before you venture further into the night market.

手創花式棉花糖
I just thought this candy floss was pretty unique as a photo prop. Although it's a little too sweet to finish it all by yourself, you will probably need to share.

So there you have it, where i visited when i was in Taipei. Taiwan is just an amazing place to visit and definitely no tummy space will be wasted. Till then, signing out.
