#Travelwithme: Gold Coast

Gold Coast — a land of fun.
The airport is quite small and deserted, so to travel to the place where their light rail are, take Bus 777 from the airport, it will bring you to Broadbeach South station. Their Light Rail are like MRT so you have to tap in and out as usual, just you won’t see any gantry anywhere, there will only be a standing pole like a “Card Reader” thing, just tap it before you board the light rail and tap out after you are down from the light rail. Below are some places of attraction that we went during our stay in Gold Coast.

Warners Brother Movie World
The main highlight of our trip to Gold Coast. I would recommend purchasing the tickets online and print it out as the queue for the ticket was superb! We didn’t purchase the fast pass tickets but we managed to take all the rides, the queue on average is about 30 to 45 minutes, sometimes even shorter, If you are daring enough to take on the Joker ride, you might wanna try it backwards, but definitely it comes with a price. There is a separate ticket for it. I went on it, i think i’m quite daring taking into consideration that i am afraid of heights, is not as scary as it seems. I sat on it twice, the first row and the last row, think you guys can just wait for the first row to get the thriil, the last thought that flash in my head was like “i’m not gonna to sur” - before i could continue woosh, 90 degree fall, felt like i was committing suicide. Overall, My favorite ride of all is still superman.
To get to WB Movie World - Take the light rail to Helensvale and take bus TX7 it will stop directly outside the Theme park (Oh right, it stop at Wet ’n’ Wild too, they are just side by side.)

Dreamworld
We were quite disappointed when we enter in as most of the thrilling ride was not available, mostly kids and mild thrilling rides. There wasn’t much people around mainly i think was due to the incident a year or so back where 4 people were killed on the rides. Nearer to the Koala area, the area did seem really rundown and like their machines and stuff are not well maintained so you can see a lot rust which actually is quite scary. What is more ridiculous is how tourist actually visit there and throw stuff into the river which cause the turtle to grow algae on the shell. YES LIKE THE WHOLE SHELL IS COVERED IN ALGAE, was quite sad to see them in this state. The best show was the tiger show, although is not a very long show, but it’s amazing on how humans can actually be on the same ground as tiger and yet still be alive. #impressedandamazed. Afterall, We still did took on some rides though, on those that they run the test on a few times, such as Whirlpool & The Claw.

Gameover
A little further front before dreamworld, a place where you can get to play Laser Tag and also indoor Go Kart. You probably won’t stay in dreamworld for long as most of the rides might not be open due to maintenance, so you will probably need plans after that, you can try this since it’s along the way back to Helensvale station.

Surfers Paradise
Famous destination spot for tourist out of the theme park, so if you have some spare time head over to surfers paradise. They have dam good food alongside before heading down to the beach. Try out Grill’d, Latitude 28, Lord of the fries. Oooo, and they have GONG CHA too, is slightly more pricey compared to Singapore, but i finally get to taste the Gongcha that was once in Singapore, #familiarfeeling.

Hope this helps you a little with your upcoming trip to Gold Coast. Tudus ~
